The Lucy B Drewes Rare Cancer Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) (3) foundation dedicated in making a difference for those who have been diagnosed with rare and hard to cure cancers. Our goal is to support research for rare cancer and help guide people to cancer organizations and cancer treatment centers familiar with rare cancers. Together through the support of volunteers, partners and researchers we can empower people, give those with rare cancer quality care and energize research to find a cure. The idea to start Lucy’s Rare Cancer Foundation was the inspiration of people Lucy touched. As stated in her bio Lucy made people feel good just to be around her. Lucy was full of energy, strength and was always there for anyone that needed her. The whole time Lucy dealt with her rare cancer she never had negative thoughts. Lucy just kept on fighting. Well, we are going to keep up the fight, keep searching for a cure because that is exactly what Lucy would be doing. Lucy never gave up and neither will her foundation.
